Morgan McPherson is a singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist based in her hometown of Greensboro, NC. Her latest release, Origins, blends the raw, spiritually curious songwriting and unflinching poeticism of her piano rock roots with modern synthpop experimentation in a new set of spirited power ballads.

Morgan found her voice while singing in church, and she had an early introduction to her grandmother’s organ. She developed a soft spot for the darkly emotive compositions of Beethoven and traditional composers before finding a different kind of inspiration in the music of Alanis Morrisette, Tori Amos, Aerosmith, and Metallica.

Morgan witnessed the transportive power of words in both musical and spiritual contexts and soon found herself drawn to writing.

Finding light in the darkest parts of her experience, Morgan takes on difficult themes of abuse, abandonment, mental health, identity, and growth to make music that empowers others like her to find their own strength.

Morgan’s self-published albums Stranger in the Mirror and Destiny, Save Me and the new Origins EP are all currently available on most streaming platforms and music retailers, as well as through the Shop.
